Hardwoods, softwoods and OSB (Oriented Strand Board) are types of wood that can be successfully powder coated with proper preparation, application and powder chemistry. Finishing these types of woods can be more complex due to their varying moisture content, density profiles and surface smoothness. These factors make them harder to control than an engineered wood like MDF.
